The 42nd season of the Ringling College Library Association Town Hall Lecture Series brings prominent influencers in politics, art, celebrity, sports, science, and inspiration to the Sarasota stage. I have attended the Ringling Town Hall Lecture Series for many years, and it never disappoints me.
The 2023 Town Hall lecture series kicks off on January 17 with President CARLOS ALVARADO QUESADA, Costa Rica’s 48th President and climate-change leader, as its first speaker.
President Alvarado is widely praised for his innovative approach to sustainable energy, his ambitious climate policies, and a highly successful response to the COVID-19 pandemic; President Alvarado joined the faculty of The Fletcher School at Tufts University in July 2022 as a Professor of Practice in Diplomacy, Executive Education Keynote, and Senior Fellow in the Edward R. Murrow Center for a Digital World.
