The new restaurant Kojo has quickly become a favorite of mine. It has a Zen-like atmosphere with a Pan-Asian vibe and features a worldly menu inspired by the flavors of China, Japan, and Korea. The hip menu includes small plates, dim sum, and sushi, including fun dishes like crispy nori sushi tacos, garlic ponzu grilled Gulf oysters, pork belly bao buns, and Kimchi fried rice, to name a few.
In addition to the cuisine, the restaurant features cocktails by NYC-trained mixologist David Roth, and a list of premium sakes.
Restauranteur and Chef Natalia Levey also owns Speaks Clam Bar in Lakewood Ranch and St. Armand’s Circle.
Kojo is located at 1289 N. Palm Avenue, Sarasota and is open 5:00 -11:00 p.m. Sunday -Thursday and 5:00 p.m. -midnight Friday and Saturday. www,eatkojo.com
