Sarasota residents and visitors alike look forward to a new trolley service this upcoming summer.
Plans for three “hop-on” free open-air trolleys will cruise from East Main Street in Downtown to South Lido Beach beginning in August. The service will run every 20 to 25 minutes, Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The overall goal is to help alleviate traffic congestion on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city.
