Are you on the hunt for a bakery that breaks the mold? Look no further than Bread Bandits! This fresh face in Sarasota’s culinary landscape, situated at Osprey Avenue and Siesta Drive’s lively crossroads, is a cut above the rest. Helmed by the baking brilliance of Jules Thuet and Brad Rutledge, Bread Bandits serves up a cornucopia of treats such as croissants, quiches, and baguettes, all meticulously crafted on-site each day. Their signature sourdough is a true baking marvel. With Thuet’s rich family bakery heritage and Rutledge’s seasoned expertise as a head baker, every morsel is a culinary masterpiece.
Bread Bandits’ menu is a feast for all palates! We recently had the privilege of savoring their new sandwiches for lunch, and it was a truly delectable experience. As a vegetarian, Steve couldn’t get enough of the Caprese Focaccia Fior Di Latte (mozzarella), Fresh Tomatoes, Greens, Basil Pesto, and Honey Balsamic Glaze. Danielle and Georgia shared the French Cuban with Jambon De Paris, Rosemary Ham, Swiss cheese, Cornichon Pickles, Dijon, and Butter in a hearty baguette. And, as a grand finale, we all indulged in a heavenly Crookie, a croissant filled with cookie dough and crowned with chocolate eggs.
We give Bread Bandits a thumbs up!
